Was diese Jungs produzieren, ist tatsächlich eine Mischung aus Heavy-Rock & Blues, wie ihr es selten zu hören bekommt und absolut eine Empfehlung wert. FOLSOM ist ein energisches und verrücktes Heavy-Blues-Rock-Quartett, das 2013 gegründet wurde. Sie produzieren eine Musik, die von einem aggressiven Groove geprägt ist und auf Blues, Country und Atmosphäre setzt.
Beeinflusst von Bands wie Clutch, Rage Against the Machines oder den Red Hot Chili Peppers, konzentrieren sie ihre Live-Shows auf die Geschichte von Johnny Reb, einer subversiven fiktiven Figur, die im Folsom-Gefängnis eingesperrt ist und von der Flucht träumt…
Nach einem ersten Album BAD WAYS, das 2016 veröffentlicht wurde, und einem Vinyl-Album BAD WAYS Mark II im Jahr 2017 bereiten sie für den Herbst 2020 eine neue EP mit dem Titel BONZAI vor, die sie mit Leidenschaft und Elan in Europa präsentieren möchten.
FOLSOM gewann den Publikumspreis beim „Tremplin PLAY IT INDIA 2018“ im April 2018, sie waren Gewinner des „Tremplin MUSIC EN CIEL“ im Juni 2018 und Finalist der „Tremplin Guitare en scène“ und der „Tremplin Pérouges“ im Jahr 2019.

What these guys produce is really a mixture of Heavy-Rock & Blues as you rarely get to hear it and absolutely worth a recommendation. If you start songs like „BAD WAYS“ or „CANNIBAL“ and you just have to tap along to the beat (whether you like it or not), this is a clear sign of quality.
FOLSOM is an energetic and crazy heavy-blues-rock quartet founded in 2013. They produce a music that is characterized by an aggressive groove and focuses on blues, country and atmosphere.
Influenced by bands like Clutch, Rage Against the Machines or the Red Hot Chili
Peppers, their live shows are concentrate on the story of Johnny Reb, a subversive fictional character who is locked up in Folsom Prison and dreams of escape.
