Das Rockin the Bowl Festival geht in die zweite Runde und findet dieses Jahr am 12. September 2020 statt. Ein bekannter Headliner soll helfen, dass auch Bands, die noch nicht so bekannt sind, eine Chance haben zu wachsen. Dieses Jahr konnte die Rock-Queen, DORO, als Headliner gewonnen werden.
Das Rockin the Bowl Festival ist ein jährliches eintägiges Open-Air-Rockfestival in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, zu veranstalten. „Ich bin in Sheffield geboren und aufgewachsen und lebe in der Stadt. Ich war ein lebenslanger Rockmusik-Fan und war immer stolz auf Sheffields musikalisches Erbe (insbesondere Def Leppard, einer der meistverkauften Acts der Welt) und das der nahe gelegenen Orte wie Barnsley, Heimat der Heavy Metal-Giganten; Saxon. Nachdem ich bereits ein Festival organisiert hatte und etwas für die Stadt tun wollte, in der ich lebe, war ich erstaunt, dass Sheffield kein einziges Outdoor-Rock-Event hat. Für eine Stadt mit einem solch weltberühmten Hintergrund war dies eine Situation, die behoben werden musste, um die große Anzahl von Fans der Musik, sowohl jung als auch alt, zu befriedigen, die hier leben. Für die Bands ist die Zeit perfekt für ein Event, das das aufstrebende Talent der Rock Giganten von morgen zeigt. Viele der älteren Bands gehen in den Ruhestand oder sterben buchstäblich aus. Es gibt eine Lücke, die geschlossen werden muss, und ich denke, dass sich in den nächsten Jahren eine große Verschiebung hin zu diesen neuen aufregenden Gruppen vollziehen wird, und ich möchte, dass Sheffield in Bezug auf die Exposition gegenüber der neuen Welle an der Spitze steht.“
The Rockin the Bowl Festival is entering its second round and will take place on September 12, 2020. A well-known headliner should help that bands that are not yet well known have a chance to grow. This year the rock queen, DORO, was won as headliner.
The Rockin the Bowl Festival is create and host as an annual single day open air Rock festival in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The event is to be held at the Don Valley Bowl and will showcase local and national emerging rock bands with a solid and expanding fan base that are set to become the future generation of the genre.

„I am the creator and founder of Stonedeaf Festival, a similar national Rock festival that was successfully held in August 2018 at Newark Showground. The festival was my brainchild and I recruited the team that is the backbone of the event. I (along with my wife, who will be supporting me and helping with this project) created the ethos, look, branding and whole structure of Stonedeaf Festival along with securing some high profile sponsors as well as promoting the show personally on a number of radio shows and organised promotional events. My responsibilities extended to every aspect of putting on a show of this size (Stonedeaf is a slightly bigger event to Rockin the Bowl). I have now gained experience on a whole host of related aspects of hosting a rock festival and know how to deal with some of the pitfalls too“
